Previous experience is desirable, although not essential, as a comprehensive programme of on-going training will be provided to the right applicant. However, a minimum of a 7.5 tonne driving licence must be held and a good basic working knowledge of vehicles will be an advantage.

Workshop Mechanic/Technician

We currently have a vacancy for an accounts assistant, based at our head office in Ashby.

Ideally, you will have a number of years experience using sage line 50, possess good bookkeeping skills with a strong work ethic and eye for detail.

Recovery Controller

We currently have a vacancy for a recovery controller based at our control room in our Coalville depot.

You should be capable of multi-tasking, have good computer skills, and be able to work in a team environment. The role is fast moving and you will need to be able to use your own initiative and ‘think on your feet’, when the pressure is on.

You will be dealing with members of the motoring public who, at times, will be in highly stressful situations and you will need to take control and demonstrate a compassionate and caring attitude.

Previous experience of this type of role will be an advantage, although full training will be given to the right person. A good geographical knowledge of Leicestershire and surrounding areas would be ideal.

Training Centre

Modern well equipped training centre containing the latest presentation equipment including white boards and computers for Powerpoint presentations. Available for hire for industry/company training or as a convenient venue to hold a meeting.

We have invested in a specialist training school, centrally and conveniently located in Tamworth. The facility is used to train AJM’s growing team of mechanics, technicians and control centre personnel.

Recovery and rescue techniques are continually evolving and vehicle mechanics and construction are becoming more sophisticated. As a consequence, we have devised a series of in-house courses that combine theoretical and practical study to help keep our staff up to date in respect to changes in legislation and best practice.

Our Tamworth training centre is ideal for companies that do not have their own training rooms but who have the occasional need for a professional training facility or meeting room.
